Habitat for Humanity Regina acknowledges the signficant long term sponsorship from the City of Regina since 1993. Over 35 families have realized the dream of ownership as a result of the City of Regina stepping up with land and financial support for so many years. Thank you City of Regina!

The Saskatchewan Housing Corporation

Sask Housing wowed everyone with their million dollar announcement in March of '09! $50,000 per house will be given to Habitat affiliates around the province for the next 20 houses being built. Thank you Sask Housing, for taking steps to break the cycle of poverty for more Saskatchewan families. Saskatchewan has Habitat affiliates in Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Llyodminster, and chapters in Yorkton and Moose Jaw.

Your gift of $50,000 per year for 3 years, and over 1,400 volunteer hours building Habitat homes makes the dream of home ownership real for our Habitat partner families. Habitat for Humanity in Regina builds homes for low-income, working families. To do that, we use the strength of volunteers, the ReStore, gift-in-kind donations, the financial help of individual donors and corporate sponsors and a whole lot of divine intervention.

We work with:

Restaurants and the Faith Community to provide lunches for our build site volunteers. (And Church groups who want to sponsor a whole house!)
Big Corporations wanting to participate in community building and who will use their influence to promote Habitat.
Trades and Service providers because we need their expertise, skilled hands and buying power.
Educational Institutions to provide an opportunity to use Habitat build sites to learn life skills .
Community Groups to achieve mutual goals and dreams for Regina.
Individual Donors who want to put their money into a not-for-profit that results in something tangible. There’s nothing more tangible than a house!

Did you know that the ReStore is one of our biggest fundraisers?

ReStore purchases help Habitat for Humanity reduce administrative costs. This allows more of the donations that we receive to go into our build fund instead of paying for our administrative costs. So shop lots!

We like to be accountable with your dollars. We are audited yearly and you can see a copy of our annual financial reports by making an appointment with our office.
