Deconstruction Team
The deconstruction team of Habitat staff and volunteers work with builders, developers and homeowners to salvage reusable building materials from structures prior to demolition or remodeling. Building materials and supplies like gently used doors, cabinetry and appliances that are removed from a building are then sold at the Habitat ReStore.
Benefits to our community include:
- The diversion of usable building materials from our landfill.
- Providing a source of affordable building materials for reuse in our community.
- Support for Habitat for Humanity’s mission to eliminate substandard housing.
If you are embarking on a remodeling project, give us a call and we can begin. We would need a couple of pictures of the item you wish to donate. Please keep in mind that cabinets that are nailed in usually do not come out in great condition.
