Habitat for Humanity Regina has received a huge donation of of bolts, wood screws, door hinges and cabinet hardware from Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), which is sharing its overall in-kind donation valued at $750,000 with Habitat affiliates throughout the West. Approximately 2,000 different types of hardware products filling up six semi-trailer units made up the overall donation. The items came from more than 150 Co-op Home Centres throughout Western Canada as a result of a vendor switch-over during the last few months. The items donated to Habitat for Humanity Regina are now in stock at the ReStore in Regina located at 1740 Broder Street. (Turn east on 9th Avenue off of Winnipeg Street, then south on Broder.) Money generated from ReStore sales goes towards financing the construction of new homes as well as covering administrative costs. This allows Habitat for Humanity to put 100% of cash donations into building new homes for deserving families. FCL's one-time gift of $750,000 is the company's largest made on behalf of retail co-operatives across Western Canada. Thank you Federated Cooperatives Limited.
