What a fantastic day on June 10th.  Karen Goodon's grade 5 students from St. Bernadette School, Kim Greenman's grade 10 students from Luther College and Information Services Corporation came out to volunteer for the day.  They landscaped 4 Habitat homes on Cameron St.

Kim Greenman, Christian Ethics teacher from Luther College High School says, “We were very enthusiastic about this project after discussing it with Habitat for Humanity Regina and our Christian Ethics students were excited to have the opportunity to contribute to a great cause.”

St. Bernadette School Grade-five-teacher Karen Goodon discussed community service with her class and they agreed to approach Habitat for Humanity Regina to see what they could do to contribute to the non-profit. “I am really proud of this group of kids for picking an excellent cause to contribute to. They recognize that the people who will move into these homes are hard-working families who are looking for an opportunity to become home-owners.”

ISC employees chose Habitat for Humanity Regina under the umbrella of the United Way Day of Caring. Staff coordinator Skip Phillips said, “our staff enthusiastically chose to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Regina as part of the United Way Day of Caring.  We are excited to be involved and happy to be able to give back to the communities we serve.

All in all approximately 100 people contributed to finishing the landscaping at these properties.
