Volunteer Coordinator – Job Posting
This is a 60% - 3 days per week permanent position with Habitat for Humanity Regina.
Habitat for Humanity Regina is a non-profit organization that works to break the cycle of poverty through affordable homeownership for low income, hard-working families.
We are currently looking to fill a staff position to oversee coordination and management of the volunteer program at Habitat for Humanity Regina. This includes volunteers at our construction site and at our ReStore, plus other volunteer opportunities that may come up with events or other administrative items through the year.
The position reports to the COO, but will work in tandem with the ReStore Manager, the Project Manager Build, the Fund Development Managers and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator. This position is also responsible for oversight of the Volunteer Site Host.
The main tasks of the position will include procurement and scheduling of volunteers (individuals and groups) for the build site and the ReStore. You will also be responsible to procure, schedule and manage lunch sponsorships for volunteers. You will also work to increase awareness of volunteerism at Habitat for Humanity Regina, developing a proactive approach to recruitment and recognition of volunteers.
To be successful you will have:
• 1-3 years experience working in a volunteer driven environment, organizing and managing volunteers. You will also have well developed team work skills that make working in collaboration with operational departments a breeze. You have a tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal and organization skills including the ability to work well with a team and manage multiple tasks.
